Mr. Yat-Gai Au

Mr. Au is the founder and CEO of Regencell. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, he began his career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and ING Barings. He has completed over US$4 billion worth of deals and won many prestigious M&A awards. Notable deals include the US$750 million acquisition of Philippine Long Distance Telephone, the US$650 million acquisition of Indofood and the US$1.8 billion secondary placement for 40% interest in Hagemeyer, all of which were executed on behalf of First Pacific Company Limited. He is an active property, technology and biotech investor.

He grew up with ADHD and ASD, and his early life was extremely difficult. Coupled with an uncontrollable temper, he was an outcast in school and received mostly Ds on his report cards. He was devastated. He started high school in the bottom 1% and had to spend more hours every day studying than other students without my conditions.

He was patient #1: he has been taking the TCM treatment for over 30 years which has helped improve his ADHD and ASD conditions. Eventually, he graduated in the top 2% and was accepted to UC Berkeley and with continued determination was later accepted into Haas school of business. He wrote about determination in his college application essay. Hence, he remains 100% committed to the TCM treatment: seeing is believing. The goal of RGC’s natural TCM formula is to save lives.

“If someone tells you that you can’t do something or you are not good enough, it’s up to you to prove them wrong. Always believe in yourself and never give up. Perseverance and determination are the keys to success”

Through his own personal experience and having personally witnessed over 100 children that TCM practitioner treated, combined with his own understanding of the daily challenges and difficulties of having ADHD and ASD, he founded RGC, a company devoted to the R&D and commercialization of TCM for the treatment of  ADHD and ASD, to save lives. To further his philanthropic efforts, he also setup Regencell Foundation, with the goal to provide relief and support to children with ADHD/ASD and elderly people who are in financial distress. To date, the foundation has helped thousands of families, individuals and organizations all around the world by providing grants and giving gifts.

Both entities are Gai’s passion projects, and he will continue to invest his personal funds to defend what he believes in. He has literally put his money where his mouth is by investing over US$9 million in RGC to demonstrate his personal belief and commitment.

Mr. Au is passionate about participating in and funding charitable activities for the elderly, gifted students and the financially underprivileged. In 2020, during the COVID-19 outbreak when there was a shortage of masks all over the world, he made an effort to source and donate over 200,000 masks to hospitals, elderlies and needy families in Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong and USA.

We need your support to bring this treatment to the next level so that it can be made available to anyone, anywhere.
